Today Lauren, Louise and I were back at the East End Women Foodbank for our weekly mission helping to package and distribute food parcel deliveries to those in need throughout Walker.

As usual, we helped to pack hundreds of dry ambient and fresh food parcels into the delivery drivers' cars as they arrived throughout the day, whilst packing a further 40 dry ambient food parcels in between to be delivered next week.

Also, a HUGE congratulations to Louise on completing her 100th good deed today! Louise is one of the special few who was there for GoodGym Newcastle's very first good deed in 2018 and has since helped to strip carpets, paint walls, sort clothes, deliver leaflets and make candles from beeswax for the most worthy causes throughout Newcastle!

We all appreciate you and everything you do Louise! Go and give her a massive cheer!

East End Women
A project supporting women with skills and training, education, loneliness and domestic abuse recovery.

East End Women offers practical courses for women to build confidence and skills around DIY, sewing, pattern cutting and basic trades. We also deliver the Freedom Programme domestic abuse recovery course, helping women to better understand the roots of domestic abuse and build confidence to identify warning signs in the future. In addition to this, East End Women also offer social activities and drop-in sessions for women experiencing isolation to meet one another, make friends and build local networks.
