Report written by Bournemouth runner
On a fine Saturday morning the GoodGym Bournemouth team headed to Sydenhams building yard to grab supplies before setting off looking to make the world a better place, or at least cleaner! This wasn't any ordinary mission, it was a celebration of all the amazing runs and good deeds our little miss Sunshine had been a part of over the last three years. Abi had reached
****> > 100 GOOD DEEDS!!
And if that wasn't enough to celebrate, our other ray of sunshine, Grace had ventured back to us from her new big city life! All too much to handle on a Saturday morning....and that topped off with glorious sunshine!
On the surface all looked clean and tidy, but like with most things in life, delve a little deeper and new things come to light. Sean disappeared into bushes and came out with 10 bottles of beer, Hannah with electrical poles with cables hanging out, Abi with corner plumbing tubes and everyone else with dog poo bags, wrappers and a lot of cans!
Having filled a bag with rubbish we regrouped and headed into Boscombe to find a place to have lunch. And boy did we find a place....organic vegan cafe with delicious coffee and even better company and conversations....followed up with a stroll along the beach and topped up with cheering on our Roshana running her first 10km.
Good luck to all of you running this weekend. Hope you have happy thoughts throughout.
