Welcome to the Royal Day of Davids
What a treat to get to celebrate not one, but two David celebrations today as David S celebrated his turning into a centurion and 100th Good Deed and David H reached the massive 200 Good Deeds milestone! Massive well done both of you, brilliant achievements.
It was also great to be joined by Lewis on a GoodGym Tourist trip from Cardiff - good luck with your ultra training Lewis!
We set off on a 5km run to Woodcroft Community Orchard, where we met Lexi and Andy and his family including the star of the show, his dog Flo. Andy explained to us the tasks for the morning. We would be mulching a path from the allotment shed down to the orchard with compost, weeding around the trees, and scything back some long grass (not scathing the grass, as I initially thought).
We got to work and the sun even started to join us for the second half of our task. We were also lucky to get Clo's hard-working hands for the final push of mulching! After 50 minutes of work, we gathered together for our group photo, sadly didn't manage to steal Flo as a permanent GoodGym Bristol mascot and set off the (thankfully) downhill run back.
On our return, we presented David H with his 200 t-shirt, with amazing creativity from Matt as usual. David S donned the centurion outfit and looked remarkably at-home in it. After all that, all was left was Caroline's parting motto for life:
Just Google boobs and you will have everything you need.
Wise words Caroline, boob jokes are the breast jokes after all.
