Hmm, not sure about that pun Tav; isn't the book called 3 men and a boat?
Anyway, a mysterious, misty evening met the 10 runners keen to get on with helping their community. Due to back to School for the Institute and the 6th form college, the footpath near Matalan was full of litter again. Then, Colchester Hospitals Charity are promoting their annual Santa run to raise money for things like the Maternity Garden and the Time garden at Colchester Hospital.
Good stash from the litter pick included a snail that looked like a Guerlain Chocolate, a giant flowerpot and an aerial.
We all met up again after Tav, Ella and Louise had delivered all the fliers for the Santa run, and made our way to the bottom of Balkern hill, where it was hill training. Ella challenged Tav to a race, although I'm not sure who won overall.
A brilliant night was had by all, and we're looking forward to 2 runs next week, the Wednesday one for Emmaus, and a starter session on Saturday when we're doing a New Town litter pick, and meeting at the Old Heath rec.
