Report written by Justin Wetters
3 runners ran in Hackney to clear Mrs G’s bedroom and create room for a medical bed to be brought in and space for her carers to move around and look after her. This included removing a divan bed to an upstairs room, no tools were needed we were told. But. There was a headboard attached to the divan base via 2 large screws, no screwdriver, and no way of manoeuvering our the door, round the corner and up the stairs whilst the parts were conjoined. What to do. A pound coin was lying on the floor, would that turn the screw? No, that coin was too big. Would the end of a coat hanger fit? No that hanger was too small. Would that 50p coin do the trick? Yes that coin was perfect, just the right width and with handy edges. Not too big, nor too small, the Goldilocks 7-sided multi purpose tool, and when you’ve finished with it, you can even buy a bag of crisps on the way home. Onto more serious matters, the running trio made short work of removing the bed, some bedside furniture, boxes and cases. A spot of hoovering and a nice big space was created for Mrs G to safely come home from hospital. Good work team
