Third day of the final Ashes test at Oval is only a couple of miles away from Thorlands.

After a wet Saturday last week, it was great to get going again and continue where we left off at our group run - clearing the Forest Garden.

Two stumps needed to be removed and the Pyracantha and brambles needed to be trimmed back. Daryl was switching between the dutch hoe and the pick axe to tackle the first Buddleia stump whilst Gemma and Sam trimmed back on the bramble and Pyracantha, respectively.

After hacking away at the roots, Daryl finally got the Buddleia tree out as Gemma focused on getting the Pyracantha root out.

An hour and a bit passed by the time, they had finished the three tasks set out to do, so they used the final few minutes to clean the tools and munch on the blackberries Gemma had retrieved from the brambles.
