Well who would have thought it..... Of all the challenges to get the most excitement and photos so far it has been the good ol' BURPEE Fitness training session - I'm in a state of shock and elation.
As should those that have taken part be too mind as they have completed 100 burpees in the same session. No longer will drop and give me 10 burpees sound daunting and unachievable to these iron folk. Here's some quotes as to how they found it ....
"I truly feel that got a full body work out this evening with 10 Burpee reps! OMG. I was cursing your name in Marble Hill Park, let me tell you! :-) A place that I have gotten to know very well over the past months.
I decided to make this session more palatable by choosing different tree spots to do a rep 1X10 or two! I'd love to know what type of trees these are. During the breaks (some longer than the 30 seconds it takes me to do a reps), I also got to observe some details on the trees - the bark, or the leaves - that I'd not quite seen before.
Thanks for this challenge! A much needed uplift to my day".
"I cycled back to Richmond stopping to complete 10 sets of burpees at some familiar locations. Photos attached. A burpee spotters guide to The London Borough of Richmond including .... The Bushy Burpee, Teddington Lock Burpee, The Common Burpee (Ham&Petersham varietals), The Landmark Burpee, The Stately Burpee, Balsam Burpees, Nightingale Burpees, Three Pigeons Burpees and The Wholefoods Burpee"
"exhilarating and super to do a set with a fellow GG'er - High Five Anita"
I just hope those that read this will find new found love for the burpee too and see the difference they can make... maybe the best way to enjoy is 100 at a time ; - )
