I joined some other volunteers at the borough food co operative and started transferring the deliveries to the main tables ready for customers to browse. Cherries were the main delivery that day! There were about 6 crates! The second part involved packing up deliveries on a colour coded system which involved me trying to get my head around it and a lot of wheeling my trolly back and forth around the room!

Borough Food Cooperative

The Borough Food Cooperative opened in October 2020. With help from organisations like FareShare, the Borough Food Cooperative acts as a subsidized supermarket, offering members to stop in and pick up £15-£20 worth of groceries for £4.50. The Cooperative is open during lockdown to provide essential supplies to local households
