8 super mega cool GoodGymmers smashed 4km AND did some sprints through Ealing Common, all the while helping out at Christ the Saviour Parish Church!

Quote of the night: "I'm already sweating" Tatiana.

So in a night that literally could feature in the remake of Crystal Maze if they were struggling for ideas and had to produce the first show in a hurry, we constructed complicated stacking furniture, we transported a table through the busy streets of Ealing (Including across the 4 green man road!) AND did some sprints for our fitness. Boom!

We had a super fit newbie this evening, welcome Deeqa! You did amazing with the sprints and it was so great to meet you!

After a quick intro we sped off to Christ the Saviour Parish Church...around the corner! I will admit I didn't even put my strava on. And, to our delight, new Ealing GoodGymmer Shona was there knocking out some 'under the sea' in the steel drum band! It was great music to start working away to. First we moved the crystal maze style puzzle table, lifted and shifted a few other items and then, it was moving a table through Ealing and shifting some bags out to a garage! What an absolutely helpful bunch of legends.

But then fun didn't end there, oh no! After a quick warm up jog to Ealing Common we embarked on fun game number 1: you run in a circle and the trainer shouts out a question. If the answer is yes you run to the middle and do the nominated exercise eg Burpee or jump squats! Sadly my brain-magination couldn't extend further than 'do you like biscuits' and 'do you like pizza' so if course there was a lot of jump squatting hehehe!!

THEN it was onto fun game number 2: a walk/run/sprint session. on the path. We started off lamppost to lamppost, then 2 lamppost widths and rest and finally the length of the whole path! Woo, lung burnaaaa! Then good thing is that this style of training works as a jog/walk or for sprints so you can go at your own pace...you aren't racing anyone but yourself. Although I definitely won...hehe.

A short little cool down jog back and we were ready to stretch! Stretching is very important anyway but ESPECIALLY if you've pushed yourself a bit with some sprints!

It was sooo amazing to see everyone and I had a great night and great fun as always. See you all soon! Sign up to next week here!.
