Today I went to collect Mrs D's shopping. We spoke on the phone beforehand to establish her list and I had some time to add illustrations before setting off for the shop. We clarified that she wanted 4 x Pints of milk, not 4 pints of milk, a clear distinction I've known people to be caught out with before. No broad beans to be had, even for ready money, and the Waitrose people wouldn't be persuaded that the person I was buying for did have a waitrose card to collect the magazine even if I didn't, but otherwise I managed to get everything on the list.
