Our task owner Jan was a little concerned at whether today’s task could be completed following the weather reports. Not to be deterred by the frost, we arrived with plenty of layers and extra gloves to start prepping the round flower bed. Jan was reassured, the sun was out and the ground not too firm despite the cooler temperature.

Jan’s double bulb order arrived in time and so today's task was to clear the bed of weeds and dig a little deeper than usual to give the tulips more chance of surviving the cold snap.

Just over half an hour later we'd planted all of the tulips and a number of Zilla's. Completing the task so quickly meant we had time to plant the remaining tulips around the rockery and some more weeding. Kash and Sevan were having a less frenetic deed day so had extra energy to burn. Luis + tools followed Kash's lead and also made a significant dent on the frozen ground. Emily Michelle and Chris admired their work before Johnny arrived from volunteering at Parkrun and supplying the pun which arguably may deserve a good deed as fresh puns are running low!
