A ๐ฎ๐ข๐ด๐ด-ive effort and a double celebration
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Christ Church Erith in Bexley.
- Saturday, 6th of November 2021
- Led by Sarah Lee
When Christ Church in Erith wanted help tidying their grounds in preparation for their Remembrance Sunday service the next weekend, who did they call? GoodGym Bexley!
The focus was on the war memorial where the congregation and members of the public will gather.
Working alongside some of the church parishioners, Gemma and Martin tackled the flower bed surrounding the war memorial while Graham set about digging a patch in the grass ready for a new shrub to be planted. Susan and Sarah trimmed shrubs along the footpath, and Liam and Nick dug out some old roots then joined Johnny on a litter-picking forage around the grounds.
This task marked Graham's 50th good deed, and Sarah's 200th. In true GoodGym tradition there were home-baked muffins ๐ง and a certain brand of Swiss round chocolates to celebrate๐ฌ.
