Friday evening was a treat, and it meant I was able to see the week out in lovely fashion.

I had the joy of meeting Mr R and doing a little gardening for him whilst we chewed the fat. Born in Wales and having spent 15 years as a miner, Mr R's been in London for a good while and we chatted about all things mining, London, and life.

Listening to other people's stories and perspectives is a pleasure we usually don't devote enough time to. But I think we'd all be closer and happier if we did. It was special to listen to Mr R.

The garden was too overgrown to get everything done, but it was a start. And hopefully Mr R can get a little more help soon so that the space can be opened up and enjoyed.
