A slight change of plan to tonight's scheduled task due to unforeseen circumstances for our task owner this evening.

BUT..... that's ok. This is Goodgym... we know how to improvise!

We gathered at the My CWA building and did a brief warm-up for our run. We had a circular route planned that took us via the town centre and back down past one of our other regular task sites... Flag Lane Baths. It was good to see that the weeds are still keeping themselves at bay since our visit there a few weeks ago.

Karen, Nigel & I had a good natter as we ran our route. Not a distance to be sniffed at, at just over 3K. Despite the weather being much cooler than the past couple of days, it was still a bit muggy and a bit more of an effort than normal.

With a change of plan, we dug out the old faithful litter pickers and bin bags and started on a much needed street litter pick. The road where My CWA is had quite a lot of litter, so we took the opportunity to clean it all up. We spent a good hour collecting rubbish (shows how much litter there actually was when it took 3 hours of combined labour to collect it all!). It looked much tidier when we'd finished and we even had a few thank you's from local residents which was lovely. We had a lovely chat as we worked and covered everything from politics to parkrun.

We all agreed that it doesn't matter what we're doing out in the community - the fact is, we're doing something good and we're doing it together and that's all that matters. We're making a difference.

It was a lovely evening with lovely people - as always!

Have a great week everyone!

Love & hugs Nicola xx
