Report written by Ipswich runner
*Tonight's very wet run ended with every one soaked to the skin but laughing as we arrived back at base. *
We set off in dark but dry conditions to run through the town to the Suffolk Law Centre where we were greeted by the team and given directions.
Most of the work was to move furniture and reconfigure office space. Intially things went well but hit a snag when we found it impossible to move two large desks out of one room.
A few valiant tries to twist and turn through the door were unsuccessful and all that was left was to dismantle the desks. Under the direction of Daniela the desks were taken apart moved along the corridor and reconstructed in their new location.....and we didn't even have any parts left over when the desks were rebuilt!
The task took a little longer than anticipated because of the technical hitch but we still managed to get a new workstation area set up as well as moving a number of other items and some hoovering too!
As we stepped outside the rain was pouring down relentlessly. Our determined team set off on the return leg run taking in a few relay intervals in "flood" lit car park. With the rain still lashing we completed a 2.6 mile round trip with everyone promising to stretch at home ............though we couldn't have got any wetter had we completed the usual stretch routine.
The Suffolk Law Advice Centre is a free legal service provided through a collaboration of the local charity, ISCRE, Suffolk & North Essex Law Society [SNELS] and a national Pro bono charity, LawWorks.
