After a grizzly day, 5 of us met in the the sun in slight no mans land on Caterham, not quite Croydon not quite Surrey! After a while with no tasks for Ros and Ingrid it was lovely to see everyone again!
Thanks to the kind folks at Tandridge District Council for providing all the gear, we spent an hour or so scouring the parks and alleys for litter and it was a pleasant surprise. Compared to our recent trips to Purley Way, it was pretty clean and tidy, with most of the trash hidden in the hedges out of sight. Magda joked she should have brought some with her from Croydon!! Big finds of the night included pennies stuck to the floor, a burner phone and thousands of disposable gloves (people just need to chuck these in the bin!!).
A nice way to spend a Thursday - thanks for coming team! The next pick will be in Croydon again, but now we have some gear in Caterham we are open to suggestions for the next one, perhaps the park in Whyteleafe or Sanderstead? Let us know :-)
