The task was to weed around the saplings in the New Thrift Wood to give them room to thrive, and also to remove any saplings which had died. Amy, Sheila and Tessa met in Ockwells Park, and armed with waterproofs that we hoped we wouldn't need, we set off for the walk to the saplings. Sheila showed us where the previous group of GoodGymers had got to, we all got stuck in and handfuls of weeds were soon flying! This was a very satisfying task and we made good progress. Most of the saplings were doing well, and we look forward to returning to do some more sapling care in the future. And happily the waterproofs weren't needed!
