Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Norwich runner
Wet, Windy and wild this morning at Norwich parkrun. Liz and I had a chat as we walked upto the bandstand to volunteer.
I was super pleased to meet and chat to a Deaf runner waiting for Emma Cossey our sign language support to arrive. Emma signed the briefing and then ran this morning too! Thanks Emma!
The weather didn't put off 456 runners. We had runners as far as Liverpool joining us. The course divided participants into those who 'do' puddles and those that really 'don't!'.
Liz and I were marshalls. Liz kept an eye on the gate for any traffic movement in the park. Thank you for volunteering this morning Liz. :)

❤️❤️❤️ Love parkrun? Give some love back by volunteering! Volunteer on a Saturday morning during the month of June at Norwich parkrun (Eaton Park). Meet at the bandstand at 8:30am with the run director and the other high-viz heroes. You will have a full briefing of the mornings events and how to best support everyone participating at parkrun. Tasks are varied and include: marshalling, scanning, giving out & sorting finish tokens, tail - walker and many more. All of the tasks are explained in full, easy to do and the tasks are a fun insight into how parkrun runs! The volunteering role usually finishes around 10-10:30am. Volunteering is great for example if you become injured, are just getting into running, or even have a race on the following Sunday! If you want to give back to the parkrun community & gain new experiences then parkrun volunteering is for you. You will receive a point on your parkrun profile & if you volunteer 25 times you will gain a free purple 25 volunteer t-shirt! If you would like to volunteer at Norwich parkrun and in turn receive a Goodgym good deed. You will need to email: norwichhelpers@parkrun.com to let them know you are able to volunteer. Also let them know in your e-mail that you are part of Norwich Goodgym! Because we work with vulnerable adults and our runners participate at their own risk, participants need to be over 18. Looking forward to seeing you there, Hayley - Norwich parkrun Volunteer Organiser Run 10 : Volunteer 1, Let's keep parkrun going Report written by Hayley
