I never did get the chance to ask Mrs M what it was she was planning on cooking this week but her list was certainly more interesting than most as it contained a varied mix of turmeric, garlic, coriander, savoury seasoning, vinegar and some marigolds (of the gloved variety...).

If she'd included a request for a couple of trays (should that be buckets?) of chicken pieces, I'd say she was planning on giving the Colonel a good run for his money in the takeaway business.

Fortunately all on her list could be found at the now very familiar Tesco, and I was glad she'd lent me the estate car trolley this week to drive so I could fit the washing powder, kitchen rolls and other household goods into it and get back up the hill without any problems.
