Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Gathered at Willesden on this spooky October night, was a scary scrum of six, looking shifty and menacing, all dressed up in devilish red.
Feeling slightly on edge coach Ellie waited as the rest of the troops trickled in. All of a sudden - eeekkkkkk Is that a ghost at the door? Sigh of relief Noooooooo it was Coralie back from her adventures again, with a very un-ghostly tan - jealous.
Only one new face was among the crowd, with a halo like brightness shining from his.... oh no wait that's just his head torch. It was newbie in our midst - Gabriel!! An angel sent from the heavens perhaps?........no, but he did see us under the Arches at Sainsburys last week and decided to join, that's pretty much the same right?
Housekeeping done the crew set off, into the night in swift decent. Battling the biting cold and heading towards the task at hand, Harlesden Town Gardens and another Gabriel waiting there to light our way!!! What were the chances, that we would have 2 for 2!!
Upon arrival Arch Angel 2 explained the job at hand "Digging big holes and scattering the daffodil bulbs" Sounds like a normal kind of thing... Well Blimey..... Digging at night with only bike lights and head torches, it did look like we were burying something a tad more sinister!!!
Unperturbed the team got stuck in and with ACDC blaring out as backing music Dan proclaimed "I'm really *Digging** This music Ellie."**
As the moon shone brightly the digging was fierce and like a pack of werewolves , we Hooowwwlllleeedddd with laughter until the time was up.
Before the final exit, wait what's this...... AGHHHHHH Something touched my knee.... was that you Catherine?" "Nooooooo" oh dear.......and with that final fright, the team bolted for the gates.
Homeward bound and lights approached in the distance. The FairGround was back in Roundwood Park Hurrah!!!! But we could't get in BOOOOOOOOOOO Instead we made do with Simon Says, shuttle runs and squat attacks followed by piggy-back races and relays in the strobes.
Of course to finish was one last challenge, Uffington Road Hill and a high knee sprint. Everyone giving it their all and fighting for the finish line with every last breath in their body!!! Luckily everyone survived so there will be no GGBrent hauntings on this Monday Night.
Until next time Brent. Thats Halloween done, in GG style.
