29 people ran over 6k and cleared leaves and shifted woodchip at a communal gardens in Somers Town

Yup, 2015 is just as nice as 2014. We still have loads of great people heading down to Somers Town on a Wednesday night to come for a run and help at a local group in Camden.

Here's a report about last night's in the style of the headlines for the News at Ten .

Bong! 29 people ran to meet local resident Jon at St Marys Flats in Somers Town

Its not the first time they have run to these gardens either, and they really have made a huge difference. From there first visit in 2013 they have really helped Jon make something of the communal gardens surrounding this historical block of flats. Built in the 1920's (on the prompting of famous housing reformer Father Basil Jellicoe) its home to some amazing ceramic pigeons by the sculptor Gilbert Bayes. It's a little run down these days but people like Jon are hoping to put a some pride back into the area.

Bong! 2 wheelie bins of leaves removed from local estate gardens

10 lovely GoodGym runners had the unenvious task of collecting and stuffing black bin bags full of leaves. They were covering the entire garden preventing growth in the flower beds, and just generally looking untidy. It looked an easy task- but there was more leaves than they imagined (almost filling 2 wheelie bins). Nice

Bong! Untidy Yard cleared in 15mins flat

10 people- armed with gloves and hand rakes tidied rubbish from large area of raised beds. Amongst the items found where a credit card for Mr R Dorset, a sausage, and a pack of an envelope containing medical equipment for a diabetes sufferer. They improved the look of the area by roughly 36%.

Bong! 8 people tidied a yard and shifted a pile of woodchip in washing up basins

Reports suggest they did this and had a great time, though this has yet to be confirmed. What is certain is that the pile of woodchip was moved into a nearby residents garden where they will attempt to grow something in the near future.

Bong! People where spotted running a 1k loop in Regents Park yesterday

An eye witness called Shaun said;

"Yeah I saw them do it. They ran in roughly Gear 2, which is a pace where you just start to breathe a little uncomfortably. After a short rest they all crossed the road and ran out along a path for 45 secs in Gear 3, before turning around and trying to get back to the start in the same time. It was mental"

Bong! Runners Heckled on lovely warm down run back to Somers Town

This isn't news actually.....

Bong! Runners in disorganised Stretch outside Community Centre shock

It was disorganised- mainly because they were all listening to 2 men trying to give information about 2 forthcoming races that GoodGym will be running as a team.

Bong! 4 people bring along ID docs to become fully DBS checked members of the GoodGym Team

4 people, of which 75% had the middle name Louise, brought along their ID docs to be checked in advance of a DBS check. This means they can start joining in other missions and getting even fitter by making regular runs to visit isolated older people in Camden. Great news.

Bong! Man is injured- but still turns up at the Group Run to go for a drink with his running buddies

Nice work Axel- dedication.....to drinking.

Bong! Man can't find 10 items to fill his new report

Bye
