Hurrah! After a month's wait, Ms J's new bedroom carpet from Belgium finally arrived this week and has been fitted - meaning she can now sleep back in her bedroom after her unexpected four week staycation in the lounge.

Never (probably...I recognise it's a big claim) has a new carpet bought such joy. Ms J was so keen to show it to me I got a (socially distanced) tour with commentary - I'll admit it was well worth the entry fee.

After all that super carpet excitement so early on a Friday morning, the trip to the world's politest supermarket was a breeze - it being so quiet at that time of the morning that any social distancing was happening automatically.
