8 runners smashed 5km and helped a charity office sparkle
8 runners managed to find us at Urban Reef despite the fantastically foggy weather we've had. We signed in and briefed about the task that had landed on our laps at very short notice. Local charity/foodbank/befrienders Faithworks needed our help at their Southbourne office. Rumours had been flying that they may be due a mouse infestation...so we gave the whole office a good clean, sweep, polish and mop. Checking under the stairs and 'there on the stair' (for CEO Alistair!!) for signs of any furry friends.
The gang worked really hard and it was a satisfying one as we got to see a great before and after transformation.
The run home actually passed in a flash despite most of us being hungry and a bit cold. We made some pals through the window of The Bell pub - their pints looked pretty tempting from where I was standing....
I've just dropped the keys back to Emma who works with Faithworks - she passes on her BIG THANKS.
A job well done...see you same time next week!
