Report written by Richmond runner
On Monday GoodGym Richmond will be painting at Richmond Music Trust but before we roll up our sleeves , and put on some old running leggings we needed to get everything prepared for our performance.
So today, 7 runners met just off Twickenham Green, we ran, walked and cycled to come together in harmony to do good. We met the lovely Aileen who was to give us our instructions and also help us out with the prepping of the room. Our first task was to move everything away from the walls that we would be painting. This included lots and lots of carefully organised sheet music, as well as chairs, a bookcase, a piano and a xylophone. We then got to work masking all of the windows, skirting boards and door frames before protecting the carpet from any possible paint splatter on Monday - this was team work at it's best!

This was a jam packed Community Mission and with so many hands we really did make light work and it means that now everything is ready for us to turn up on Monday and pick up a brush.

All that was left was to imagine a real life version of cluedo and try and work out the culprit in the strange case of the murder of the GoodGym tourist (see photo)
It was a GoodGym runner, with the scissors in the music room
We bid farewell to Aileen and headed out, recycling some cardboard as we went before going our separate ways to enjoy the rest of the weekend
See you all on Monday for Act Two....sign up here
