Inspired by the awesome rubbish rock star 🤘 (guess who's that!), I started dreaming about becoming famous for rocking the bins myself. The earliest and closest gig I could do was in Hounslow.

That was probably my longest mission run so far, 6.5 miles to get there. I did my best to conserve the energy by switching to walking a couple of times for a few minutes. It did not work, so I had to buy myself a warm sandwich on my arrival in Hounslow.

The venue where I was to perform was located above the shops on the high street. I had no clue how to get there, so I called Mrs V. She advised the stage is accessible from the alleyway. All I had to do was to turn left, then left again and take the first entrance. I could not even do that! I took the second entrance (because that one was already open) and walked up and down the stairs three times. I was very close to entering a flat with the door slightly ajar. If I did that, I would end up in someone else's apartment. Instead, I double-checked the door number with Mrs V on the phone. She said she is waiting upstairs - but that must have been different upstairs because I was already on the top. I came back to the alleyway and took another entrance. Mrs V was waiting at the top of the stairs. If I was a rock star, I would have the support band still playing and wouldn't feel bad about taking my time to get there!

Mrs V was not concerned about the delay and was grateful that I came all the way to take out the rubbish. There were only four half-full bin bags which I tackled in one go. It was sad to hear that Mrs V has trouble walking up and down the stairs, and she cannot carry even such small bags, one at a time, anymore. After dealing with the waste, I came back up and asked what else I could do. Mrs V didn't expect more help but she allowed me to put the new liners into the bins. That was the quickest task I have ever done (let's forget about being lost on the stairs, please!), so I asked if I can get Mrs V anything from downstairs. She said she didn't need anything and thanked me for the help.
