After some Trash Talk we found ourselves on Common ground
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Friends of Woolwich Common in Greenwich.

After a night filled with the sound of hammering rain on our windows, we all woke up to the sound of, well…hammering rain on our windows. But, fortified by our extra hour of sleep we braved the grim outdoors and ran, walked and cycled down to Woolwich Common to help the Friends of group with some litter picking! There was plenty of rubbish spread all over the common which kept us all busy for a satisfying hour, after which it looked loads better than we found it. Due to our monsoon like weather, there was a river running down the centre of the common, resulting in some soggy socks and the song “Cry me a River” will now playing on repeat in my head all afternoon. Go on you know you want to #throwback https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAnsWtJ9AFk What a tune, JT! Can you believe that’s almost 20 years old?!
Finally, the sun looked kindly on our altruism and shone down on us in time for our team photo before we squelched our ways home! Thank you everyone!
This will be a regular one so some of us will be back in a month’s time. After all...
"what goes around comes around".
Until we meet again, GGG
