Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Laurie Chatterjee (she/her)
8 Goodgymmers traveled to Kids Inspire for a clear up
We met at our unusual spot of B&M Bargains this week, in the hopes of a slightly shorter run and extra time at our task. We caught up about the best social event of the weekend - Catherine's garden party (featuring KFC, mississippi mud pie, fudge, hinge, and multiple other treats), followed by David and myself completing a one mile race at the Chelmsford Athletic track, and Rachel managing 10k on Sunday.
I forgot to mention - huge well done to *David** on hitting 100 good deeds this week!*
After being greeted by Louise, we were happy to see David and Adam at the task already, although looking less red and wet than us. Louise showed us to our tasks: moving boxes of Christmas presents from the red room to the pink room, hoists from the red room to the newly titled hoist room, and tidying the red and floral rooms.
The tasks were completed in no time. We even had time to pose with: gardening equipment (Joel and Doug opted for strong poses instead), musical instruments (maybe a good thing they were switched off, James and Charlotte), and christmas decorations (true dedication by Rachel and Charlotte).
After almost losing Charlotte to the tipi, we stopped for a pose alongside it and some lovely Kids Inspire bunting, before setting back off into the rain.
Please all vote for Kids Inspire in the Persimmon Homes Building Futures competition - they could win up to £100k (link shown in the photos).
Next week we are back to St John's Church Hall to carry on painting, see you there!
