Sheila and Rachel braved the biting wind and Arctic temperatures to cycle to the Baby Bank headquarters in Holyport. Upon arrival Sheila remarked on the unusually clear hallway only seconds later to be shown 12 pallets worth of boxed toys! The Baby Bank temporarily needed to change their name to The Toy Bank ! Our main task this morning was to clear a small side room filled with the boxes and move them upstairs into a small store cupboard. So we sped into action and soon squared this away. Our remaining time was filled with sorting clothes and happy chitter chatter. This is always a fun, laughter filled, rewarding task.

Providing essentials to families in extreme need

The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.
