I started my Easter Weekend right with a run in the sun combined with a shopping trip for Mrs E.

Mrs E. was looking for non-food items to help her cope with tube feeding. I received Mr. E's list via email and was worried that I would struggle to get all of the items she requested as I knew from recent shopping trips most of the items (tissues, disinfectant wipes etc.) were in short supply. I called Mrs. E a couple of times before setting off to discuss possible alternatives but wasn't able to reach her, so I left a voicemail letting her know I was on my way and that I would call again if I couldn't find all of her items.

I started off at Tesco where I managed to get around half of the list. I tried to reach Mrs. E again by phone but again wasn't able to reach her, so I decided to try a few smaller shops on the way to her house to see if I could secure the remaining items. I tried two corner shops and was able to find them (although in smaller quantities than requested).

After a bit of confusion trying to find Mrs. E's address due to a google maps fail a friendly Hackney resident asked if I needed help as I looked a bit lost (correct!) and pointed me in the right direction. I was relieved when Mrs.E answered her buzzer as I was concerned I hadn't able to reach her on the phone. She was very friendly and thankful for the delivery and understood that I had been unable to get everything she'd asked for, so all was well in the end!
