This week we had a task at The Well Coffee Lounge in Boscombe where they needed some help moving some tables upstairs and then some sofas downstairs.

The Well Coffee Lounge has been set up by Safe and Sound Dorset to be a hub in the centre of Boscombe to bring together a community who have a mutual love for good quality coffee. It's also there to help provide Safe and Sound Dorset with a means to directly finance its prime aims and objectives which are to help women who are isolated or at risk in the community. The charity has been running for almost five years in providing weekly creative sessions, street outreach, wellbeing sessions and other events that benefit this valued part of our community.

Darryl, Lea, Keith and Neil met at The Well and Dot showed us what needed moving. We started downstairs where there were some tables that needed to be moved upstairs into the main cafe space. Narrow doorways + wrought iron based round tables proved a bit of a head scratcher but well done to Darryl for figuring out how to manoeuvre them through the door! Lea & Keith reattached the large table top to the base and got it in position.

Next was moving 2 sofas downstairs - Neil & Darryl got to work with the first one and with a bit of twisting and turning got it into the downstairs space. The 2nd sofa was somehow smaller but even heavier than the first and needed even more convincing that downstairs was the place to be!

Finally there was a long sideboard that needed to go down the stairs too - at first glance it looked like a non-starter but turned out to be the easiest move of the lot! A bit of moving around downstairs to make the best use of the space and that was it - mission accomplished!
