All SPRUCEd up: we aDOORed this task
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.
- Sunday, 3rd of December 2017
For our second task during Mission Impossible, Andy, Michelle, and Remy made our way to Mrs E's house in Westminster to help her decorate her Christmas tree and re-paint a door.
There was some debate over who would hang tinsel and who would paint, which was settled by the sight of a van labelled Remy & Sons - Painter/Decorators just outside our destination. Clearly a sign.
We all pitched in to move furniture and get the fairy lights and tinsel untangled, then Remy took up a paintbrush and gave the door a fresh coat of white paint. Andy and Michelle added some lovely red bows to the silver tinsel and white lights on the tree - instant holiday cheer!
Mrs E was thrilled, and we told her we were, too. But before we considered our task all wrapped up, Andy's eagle eye spotted a burnt-out lightbulb in the beautiful chandelier lighting up the sitting room. Another scavenger hunt task for Mission Impossible sorted. No wonder Team (Tom) Cruising Around, Doing Good won the challenge.
