Report written by Michael
After thinking we had our last run to Samye on Tuesday we had a surprise run today to help out, they had told us about their Community Fayre being held on Sunday and some eager runners decided one more run was needed. When we arrived they were already getting stuck in, with two large gazebos to erect this was not our usual Tuesday and so we all just got straight to it. With some pulling, extending, Velcro (ing) and covering the first was complete, but a gust of wind and it nearly became mobile. And so we moved planters around and secured it in the wind. The second was bit more difficult and fell apart every time it was touched, so out with the trusty gaffa tape……..the roof was moved around to let residents move their cars and empty the car park. We closed the gate and put the roof of the larger gazebo back, it was decided to leave the final phase until the morning. We all popped inside for a refreshing beverage before saying our farewells, two of us running off to the second community mission.
