Report written by Jer Boon
I managed to pack in most of my favourite things about GoodGym on this lovely autumnal morning at Bath City Farm.
First up, for the group run part of the mission I met up with Sallyann, who's a stalwart of GoodGym Liverpool, but is visiting Bath for the weekend. Not least to run in tomorrow's Bath Half, but also taking the time to do the Goodgym tourism thing.
If you've never tried it I can highly recommend seeking out GoodGyms in other areas when you're passing through. You'll start to build a network of lovely friends all over the country.
Another thing I love is when you get to know a place and get to see the results of your previous efforts later on down the line. Such as the pigs enjoying their new habitat .
And the orchard continuing to do its thing.
But of course the best thing about Bath City Farm is getting to hang out with their livestock. Which hot-off-the-press, now includes a trio of alpacas - Machu, Picchu and Paddington š
Bath City Farm was set up by the local community in the early 1990s, when the resident farmer retired. It gained charitable status in 1995. Over the past 17 years there has been considerable progress on site, including introducing our Soay sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and pigs, a pony and most recently a flock of guinea fowl

It was a lovely task what a great location I was concerned that me being clumsy barrowing manure down the steep slopes could have ended up a bit of a mess but fortunately I didn't disgrace myself. Thanks for having me.
