Alright, we'll call it a drawer
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 11th of November 2017
Yesterday, 3 plucky GoodGym runners went to Ms B's house to help her assemble a set of flatpack drawers. She'd had a neighbour pick them up, but wasn't able to put them together herself.
I had a flimsy memory of building the same product years before (although probably upside down and back to front), and between the three of us we achieved some divisions of labour that would have had Henry Ford buzzing with excitement. Our jargon wasn't perfect (we used lots of 'thingymajigs' and 'swirly bits'), but with a couple of hours we were able to get it done.
You know you need to up your GoodGym pun game when you examine the support of a drawer or a sliding door and say 'you're a lovely runner'.
Ms B was relieved to see it completed, and we felt we'd had a thorough mental and physical workout from doing it. We then parted ways, with Mridula and myself heading off to our next quick mission!
