"THIS LOOKS IMPOSSIBLE BUT I'LL GIVE IT A GO"

Carol Anne's spirit summed up there in once sentence right before she did the "impossible" (peel an apple in one go without breaking the peel) at her first attempt! Talk about hidden talents! Pop that on your CV Carol Anne.

Today our Community Mission was helping out at Apple Day, a community event at The Bike Garden at Nunsmoor Park where we regularly volunteer.

Jobs today were: * Setting up: hanging signs, bunting and chalk arrows * helping squish apples to make fresh apple juice (Deb's favourite) * washing apples for treats like apple juice and fresh scones * leading (and playing) games with families * packing away afterwards

It was a fabulous autumn day and we were so pleased to be able to help out with such an aPEELing range of jobs. Best of all, we were rewarded with freshly baked apple and cinnamon scones from their outdoor pizza oven.

Regular food and growing activities, rooms for hire and much more

The Bike Garden is a vibrant community space developed on the site of a previous bowling green in Nuns Moor Park, which now serves the community as a place to join in on regular food growing activities, place to hire for private and public events, that may be regular or one-offs, and much more
