An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away (unless it's on your head from a great height)
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Abundance York in York.

Helping Abundance York to pick apples was a great task and we enjoyed getting to grips with the long pickers. We discovered that most of the best apples were just out of reach so Lucy and Ellie scaled the trees to get closer. There was the added challenge of apples raining on us regularly when someone accidentally loosened a load that they couldn't catch. Katie perfected a great left handed catch with one falling apple. Michal, being the tallest was in great demand with the elongated pickers to reach the higher ones that couldn't be reached by climbing the tree. Once we had filled Ruth's car we called it a day with the possibility of a further task in a couple of weeks.
