5 ran to make Redbridge a prettier place
Wanstead community gardeners had another job for us to do so we set off to meet Marion at Wanstead tube station. The first task was to move a planter made from an old water tank, that we planted a few weeks ago, as it had been decided that it was not in the best place. They had also decided to add another planter where they intend to grow herbs for the free use of the local residents.
So the planter was moved to the perfect place and is ready for planting and the addition of it's partner. In the mean time the rest of the group were given elephant plants to put into a flower bed beside the station to help make people's commute brighter and more cheerful!
After the completion of the planting and some tidying we set off on a nice 5k tour of the flats, stopping briefly to admire the wild flowers planted by Snaresbrook station that were now in bloom!
More fun next week, catch up with you soon!
