Our last group run before the clocks go back and plummet us into darkness until March..Booo!!
The Task
Tis half term this week so today’s task was taking 12 Goodgymers out on a 5k run to the play area in Royal Victoria Park for a spot of raking up the fallen leaves.
Welcome to Daisy
Our very own super EMMA kindly led the group out this evening with JOE back marking. Steph is still injured and Tis a pain being injured but at least she still gets to do everything else other than run but fingers crossed for next week.
We arrived in good time
Steph had everything ready for the group, so no time wasted on getting stuck into the task. It was all hands on rakes with so many fallen leaves.
The Leaf catchers
Ready, steady and off they went with their rakes to get as many leaves gathered up and bagged up into the fabulous gold bags ready to be picked up and taken off for composting. It's actually very therapeutic raking up leaves in the dark park.
Great chance for everyone to have a 'good old chat' whilst working those arms and man it was warm tonight. We worked for 40 minutes .
How many bags?
41 bags of leaves ready for composting. An unbelievable effort by everyone tonight. We loaded onto the bus for our group photo.
A sprint finish on the way back with an impressive effort by our newbie Daisy (how many times did i call her Rosie tonight?)but Rosie needs a cheer for tonights pun.
A few announcements during stretch out, Birthday social on Thursday, if you haven't signed up you can still join us after the quiz tour so feel free to join us at 9pm at The Crystal Palace, the more the merrier.
The Goodgym Bath Calendar has gone to print and should be available to buy from next week with all profits split between Goodgym and the new cancer unit at The Royal United hospital in Bath in memory of Steph's Coach Joan.
Until next time
