Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
The above title is apparently part of the process to get your web site to be no.1 on a Google search, although it could apply to almost anything, including how to improve from being 71st in the queue at the Hackney Foodbank at St Luke Church as was the case last week.
So it was I found myself at the sheet on the church door at 1015, hoping I'd be a bit nearer the front of the queue...43rd this week (a significant improvement on last week's effort but still no top 10 - snippets of overheard conversations confirmed that to be no.1 you need to be at the door at 7am...).It was then onto Mrs E's to pick up her authority letter from her daughter - she was impressed that I'd learned from last week and wished me luck for today's wait!
This week was far more ordered than last week's experience, and the queue sequence seemed to work okay and everyone was polite with the volunteers, who were yet again doing an amazing job. I got the call to the table at 1245, and armed with four heavy bags and a loaf of bread, walked back to Mrs E's to drop off her food parcel.
Had a good chat with Mrs E's daughter about her trying to get hold of the required vouchers for next week's pick up for her mother, although as she explained this wasn't as easy as was being described at the foodbank. We both crossed our fingers, and wished each other well.

Great work Nick - sounds like a complicated system, and like your experience last time paid off! Well done.
