Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Peter Van Tongeren
A squirrel sitting on the fence like a guard checking out whoever approached, set the tone for a wildlife filled gardening clearing session...
Ms C had asked Goodgym for some people power to help clear the weeds and tree-bushes (where a tree has been cut down and sprouts loads of little twigs like a bush) to stop the garden becoming a jungle, but almost regretted it realising the weather wasn't quite 'middle of summer' kind of temperatures. But Goodgymmers do not hide from some chilly temperatures, so Latoya set to work attacking the weeds with a hoe, while Peter chopped back the tree/bushes with shears. While the conversation bounced around all sorts of topics, we lost track of all the different (little) animals we came across - a centipede escaped, but a ladybird posed happily on Latoya's glove. A very healthy example of the numerous worms did lead to some disagreement in the team however, perhaps best explained by the look of disgust on Latoyas face in the background of the picture. The biggest mystery however was the bone found at the end.... any suggestions what animal it is from?
Ms C was impressed with the wheelie bin full of greenery, so two happy Goodgymmers went on their way again!

I second Elizabeth's comment - lovely facial expressions from Latoya. Great mission team and glad you were able to commune with the local wildlife!
