Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Redbridge runner
On my daily commute, I often see my local street littered and always want to do my bit to make our environment better.
This is the 2nd time I have undertaken this task and hopefully with enough persistence, people will keep our streets tidy (see broken window theory). Equipped with my trusty litterpicker (thanks to a GoodGym Redbridge Community Mission), I headed out to pick up as much as I could.
I filled an entire bag full of the usual suspects. Most notable were 5 neatly placed beer cans behind a telecomms cabinet, a Barclays debit card and somebody's penalty notice (parking is tough in this area!).
It'll make me feel much better to make my commute nicer and to know others will benefit from my good deed.
