Are we top of the Ivy League?
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Stockport.
- Sunday, 22nd of September 2019
On a potentially rain soaked day, Pauline and Matthew drove over from Liverpool to help out our fellow Good Gymers in Stockport with this Mission and a Community Mission. Anne from Stockport has decided to forever call us the Mission Hunters. We met the lovely E at his house and were greeted by a substantial amount of dead ivy, which was still clinging to E's front wall. He had done a sterling job of clearing the ivy lower down but could not get up a ladder and so Pauline and Matthew, manfully and womanfully got on and cleared the rest of the ivy, cleared it into the green re-cycling bins and even managed to move a trailer so E could cut a tree back. It was a great to be able to help E out and he is now planning on painting the front of his house red (sorry Pauline). Another great chance to help out people in need in the community. And best of all, the rain didn't come until we got in the car for the trip home.
