Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Euclides Montes
8 indefatigable Goodgymmers ran under the threat of flood warnings and battled with a hay fever sufferers worse nightmare task tonight as they visited the Friends of Tottenham Green for a spot of planting, weeding, and... erm... checks hastily-written notes... bed making?
A Guide To Stinging Bed-making
Our 8 goodgymmers were welcomed by Laura from the Friends of Tottenham Green with plenty of tasks for the evening and our Goodgymmers wasted no time - the Brawn and the Prawn (names changed to protect their identity) immediately contorting themselves in poses that were generously described as 'strangely erotic'.
Everybody else realised they weren't there for swanky photoshoots and got on with the job of creating a natural bed on the High Road end of the Green to serve as a compost heap for the many dried leaves currently carpeting the park.
A sub-team chopped up a fallen buddleia to create the edges of the bed, while another sub-team got on with the task of collecting leaves for the bed.
They made light work of this bed-making task as they chatted, with Nurjehan keeping a close eye on the clock all the while.
By now, the Brawn and the Prawn were planting new saplings on the beds by the High Road and as Gramps innocently approached them to create a pleasant daguerreotype of the evening's gardening session, he was welcomed with shocking double entendre so let's just leave that paragraph end here for all of our sakes.
With 8pm rapidly approaching, a clearly excited timekeeper began buzzing around. Luckily, our job for the night was nearly finished. We had created a lovely bed and topped it up right at the end with some stinging nettle that the Brawn and the Prawn had to pull out as their last task of the night.
A stinging end to this spicy tale indeed.
Join us next week for more shenanigans.
