Aren't chair glad that's moved
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Newcastle.
- Saturday, 3rd of August 2019
Here's what Mr R of NE4 had to say about the mission:
This is great! Lovely to see the volunteers who help the patients and their families! (Occupational Therapist)
On a sunny Saturday afternoon Goodgymers Nick and Abi made their way to help an older person with moving some living room furniture so that a hospital bed could be delivered in preparation for her husband coming home from hospital.
After an eventful run there in which Nicks' speedy reactions came in handy when he stopped an escaped greyhound from running onto the road and reuniting it with its owner, we got to work. Furniture was moved and space made for the hospital bed to be delivered next week, before a less eventful run back home.
Our efforts were met with a lot of gratitude at a hard time from a lovely lady!

Great work both! Stopping a greyhound!? Those reactions must have been lightning fast!!!
Yes very nippy, I think he just wanted to work some speedwork into the run!
Double Good Deed for Nick! Well done on a great mission both.
