I signed up for the foodbank at the last minute, taking the chance as I’ve managed to get all of my kids to start full time at school. I’ve missed the task as I’m not available on Monday evenings anymore. Also, it gave me the best chance to see Luca, who is moving on as manager of the foodbank. At the same time, I was able to meet Leon, who is taking over.

It was quiet at first which gave me the chance to get used to packing the bags. We took the chance of a coffee break and a surprise for Luca to say goodbye, or Ciao in this case, with a bit of (socially distanced) cake, dancing and farewell presents. He has given us the best welcome and I wished him all the best from us as he takes on another role at the church.

With celebrations completed, we began to stocktake for Leon, before packing up more bags of food to be given out.
