The ongoing situation affects all of us in different ways, and it's great that Goodgym has been able to expand its remit to help more people in need.

Mrs L needed prescriptions and groceries picking up from the supermarket to keep her isolating young family going. She was concerned about how heavy they would be and I assured her that I was on a bike with panniers, not running - something I was very glad of when it came to getting home!

Fortunately Tesco and the pharmacy had no queue, but it was difficult inside to remain 2m from everyone, particularly those seemingly unaware of the one-way system. I tried to be as Good as possible as I went down one aisle just to get to the right end of another - it's just more exercise after all!

It was a close run thing at the checkout, but we squeaked the shopping in under the limit with 56p to spare. Success! The goods were delivered safely and we had a lovely chat briefly from a safe distance.

The sun was shining so I detoured via the local nature reserve from exercise on the way back, but a hybrid and panniers is not quite the steed of choice for such terrain... Fortunately my personal veg collection survived and no cauliflowers were harmed on this ride home.

Nice work Debs - bike & panniers is my choice as well when it comes to the shopping missions.
