Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Mridula Iyer
Good afternoon goodgymmers! Today, my second shop was for the lovely Ms D. I had spoken to her ahead of time, and had a full list so popped up to the supermarket first.
Given the length of the list, I was sure that Ms S would be going over her £20 budget. I was so wrong! Asda is a wonderous thing! I managed to find all her items and was 5 quid under budget as well. This mission really has me questioning my supermarket choices!
I dropped off the groceries at Ms D's apartment. Ms D was clearly keen to to get at the groceries and thanked me. It makes me both simultaneously happy and sad, because I'm glad I can help someone, but also sad that people can't get the food they want, when they want it.
I then proceeded to walk on home. On my way back, I added to my collection of stories of tripping over weird objects. A sample of the weird things I have tripped over: a bowling ball (not in a bowling alley), some fairy lights (in the middle of woods and nowhere near an electricity supply) and a seeing eye dog (that was just me, I wasn't paying attention). In today's display of demonstrating my complete lack of spatial awareness, I managed to trip over a coconut. Fortunately I managed not to injure myself and saved me the embarrassment of having to explain to the brave women and men of the NHS that the whilst they are fighting a pandemic, I was on the losing end of altercation with a coconut. NOT TODAY COCONUT!
I had a (thankfully) uneventful rest of the journey home! Stay safe Goodgymmers!
