On my way to help Harry with his garden on this very sunny day I ran past many Arsenal fans in excellent spirits watching a game in the pubs. As we found out, our host Harry also loves watching sports, though he is more into the races. Goodgym tourist Phil had come all the way over from Tower Hamlet to help out. Big cheers to him from me and Harry. On arrival we immediately saw all the good work done by last week's team evident by many bags neatly stored at the rear of the house, ready to be taken away to a skip. Most of the ivy cut by last week's team had already been collected as garden waste. (see also https://www.goodgym.org/reports/ivy-started-so-i-ll-finish-next-time) Harry had tea, coffee, fruit, cupcakes and plenty more bin bags at the ready to support our task. We evenly divided the task, though I quickly grabbed the shady spot and let Phil work on his tan. We got stuck in bagging up more old wood, a broken vase, lots of overgrowth cut down by Phil and yet more ivy. The final bag count was 2 massive bags of garden waste, 4 more bin bags with plant trimmings and 5 bags with old timber. Harry was pleased with the results as was his neighbour who saw us working from over the fence. We encouraged Harry to arrange that waste collection and felt another Goodgym team could maybe give his garden a final tidy up. We left after 90 minutes, good deed in the bag, and continued enjoying the afternoon sun.
