Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Durning Hall was the destination.

A group of ten strong Good Gymers ran through the crowd at Westfields Stratford city.

We ran over the bridge, up towards morrisons and made a left at the Nandos up the Romford road towards Durning Hall.

The group took a relatively leisurely warm up until we reached what used to be atherton leisure centre.

From there, we upped the anti a little running at 80% effort until ForestGate Church for a little stretch and a few quick snap shots.

Warm, ready and able 10 pairs of biceps jogged on to Durning Hall.

Armed with gloves, brushes a few torches and a head light we got to work. Clearing the car park of weeds and rubbish. The group of 10 made light work of the task and got the job done in no time!

And I mean no time!

Less than 10 minutes!

We tidied up the remaining dirt and leaves from the car park before getting our gloves off and heading back to the Olympic Aqua Centre.

The return definitely saw an injection of pace. With Ben and Ashley attempting to make it back to the Nandos in sub 7 minutes.

The Rest of the group did some speed play on the way back and I must say. (Everybody worked hard from the very first to the very last person).

Once back to the London Aquatic Centre, I had put together a circuit for everyone using some of the elements I had introduced them to.

The group were definitely on a mission. The Circuits began with a shuttle run down towards the Olympic Stadium.

Followed by;

14 Press ups 14 Step ups And 14 Tricep dips

Followed by a short run down to the bottom of the stairs by the Aquatics Centre and some Rocky type Hill climbs.

With the exception of one. All of the group completed three whopping rounds of this conditioning circuit.

While Alice and I did some Mayofacial release work on her IT Band to help manage a slight knee injury she had picked up running the Berlin Marathon.

Fantastic work all around guys.

Well done!
