With the gorgeous weather turning to light rain, three of GoodGym Redbridge's intrepid runners met at Wanstead House to do a spot of wet weather gardening and ran 6km in the process.

Wanstead Community Gardeners is our go-to task for when we have smaller groups. It has been transformed over the last year into a useable garden where vegetables and plants have been sown and will soon be sprouting. This is a project we have been working on since the inception of GG Redbridge and we are proud to see it blossoming into something special.

Despite all our hard work we cannot stop the pesky weeds that rear their heads whenever there is a spot of wet weather and while the beds are in good care the paths continually need clearing. With the team hard at work a large section of path was cleared and the appearance of the allotment improved - for a week or two at least.

With the task done it was time to run a loop of the groups favourite trail around Hollow Pond and return to the House for some light stretching. Great work team.

Why not join us next week when we earn our keep at Wanstead House and do some painting! You can sign up here.
